Strawberry Smoothie

adapted from VegCooking.com

1 cup non-dairy milk (try Silk)
1 medium banana
½ cup chopped strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cut the banana into chunks and freeze them in a plastic bag with the chopped strawberries (if using fresh ones). Freezing the fruit will make the smoothie extra thick and creamy.
  2. Once completely frozen, place the fruit in a blender or food processor and add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Purée until smooth.

Variation: Use half a cup of your favorite fruits (such as blueberries or peaches) instead of the strawberries.
